Lately I have received numerous cards in the mail that said “Thinking of you”.  Many of the cards have come from people that I would not have imagined had me on their mind with the busy lives they lead.  I find it very touching for someone to take the time to let me know that I have crossed their mind; that I matter.  I have been encouraged by their efforts to express their heart to me.

However, I have been pondering those words…”thinking of you” as I realize that I, too, have dear ones come to my mind numerous times in a day, week, or month and thoughts of them make me giggle, smile, ponder, pray, and sometimes I simply sigh, but they are on my mind.  Many of these precious people would probably never consider how fondly I have thought of them in the course of my day.

But there is another who is thinking of me (us) that makes my heart swell;  “How precious it is, Lord, to realize that You are thinking about me constantly.” (Psalm 139:17) 

“An infinite God can give all of Himself to each of His children.

He does not distribute Himself that each may have a part,

but to each one He gives all of Himself as full as if there were no others.

Imagine that!! The God of the universe is thinking about us; we are on His mind today!I pray that today that you truly sense that He is thinking of you and that in some fresh tangible way He will remind you of that fact;but before you put your head on the pillow to rest I hope you will pick up the greatest “I’m thinking of you” card ever~~The Word of God, and find within the pages His affection for you.
